Mark Oldfield opened the Ace Handyman franchise for the Emerald Coast in January 2024. Relocating here in 2019 from Atlanta and purchasing a home, Mark saw the immediate need for a top-quality home handyman business in the Emerald Coast area.
Ace Handyman Services works when the schedule works for you - and not beach time
Mark sold his technology business in 2019 and relocated to the Santa Rosa area. His neighbor told him to get used to "Beach Time" when he needed work on his home.
"I had no idea what he meant,” said Oldfield. His neighbor explained that Beach Time meant that most service providers in the area would do the work on their time schedule and not the customer's schedule - if they would show up at all.
He didn’t believe it, but he found out it was exactly right – it's difficult to get work done on your home on the Emerald Coast, so he opened Ace Handyman Services.
"The Ace Handyman business model gives the customer an exact time they can expect us to show up for the repair. It is very important to me that we respect the time of the customer and are always communicating with them throughout the process."

Mark took six months to learn the service and business model and graduated from Ace Handyman University before he booked his first job. It was important that we understood the Service Path and its deep history in delivering 5-star satisfaction.

With over 20 years of maintenance and construction experience in Florida, Scott Finer serves as the Director of Field Services at Ace Handyman Services. Scott has successfully run his own company, built skilled handyman teams, and consistently ensured 100% customer satisfaction. He is excited to bring the Ace brand.
His expertise spans residential and commercial projects, production management, and sales management. When not working, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, cherishing the moments with his family.
